It was past 11 in the evening at Queen Street Bus Interchange and the 52 Palakaibiganers are ready to go. Excited! It's a long journey for sure, since Kuantan is located in state of Pahang Malaysia, 352 kilometers away from Singapore. We boarded the bus and almost everyone are preparing to sleep, except those people at the back! Preparing to commit a crime, hay.. mga lasinggero! Tsk! (Sino bang mga nasa likod?? hmm..)

The sun is about to rise when we arrived at Kuantan Bus Terminal, still sleepy since inuman session ended around 3am. We took a cab, breakfast, then go straight to JOP. But before we reach the JOP, we need to cross the river and walk for 10 to 15 minutes because the bridge (few hundred meters away from JOP) collapsed! A good stretching..

At the JOP, everyone is too busy for the final preparation - packing (again..), stretching, change costume, load distribution, etc. As everyone seems ready, we Pray.. then the trekking begins..!

Berkelah has an easy trail from JOP to campsite. It took us 45 minutes (more or less) to reach the campsite - that's around 10 in the morning. We pitch our tents, lunch teams start preparing, and some of course, take a rest and enjoy the view..

Time check - 1pm. It's time to resume our trek. Some of the oldies decided to stay at the campsite to keep an eye on our stuffs (weh? mag iinom lang kayo bwahekhekhek). And the rest decided to continue. This is the hard part! The trail from campsite to the main waterfalls is more challenging. Most of the trail are solid rock and a river on your right. Some rock formation along the trail are too steep and slippery. Whew!

After long battle, finally we reach the magnificent waterfalls - very rewarding indeed!

0700 - ETA at JOP / Final Preparation
0730 - Start of trek
0830 - ETA at Campsite
0900 - Set-up camp
0930 - Photoshoot: First Waterfall
1030 - Back to campsite / Prepare for Lunch
1200 - Lunch
1300 - Start of trek to Second and Third Waterfalls 1400 – Reach 3rd Waterfall / Photoshoot
1600 - Start descend
1530 - ETA at Campsite / Prepare for Dinner
1900 - Dinner and Socials

KALASAG Hungry Games!

..tired, exhausted and thirsty but definitely not HUNGRY!!!  KOM4th gives you the KALASAG Hungry Games! (weh?) sa Pulau Ubin Singapore weeeeeeeee!

     The game started with a classic game sack race - "Sack it, baby!" Unlike the traditional game, two players must race together in this challenge. Leading na sana ang RED Team (aka Pan de Regla) dito kaso hindi yata naintindihan ang instruction hahaha Pahirapan naman kasi! - "Like the traditional sack race, gumetlak ng isang member na iikutan ng mga utaw mula at pabalik sa start point. Lima lang na mga utaw ang kelangan magparticipate sa laro na ito. Isang iikutan at foureza na iikot. Kelangan nyumikot ng 2beses mula sa start point papuntang utaw na iikutan bago ipasa ang sakey sa susunod na maglalaro.  Keri ng magcontinue sa susunod na challenge after matapos ang laro na etey."

Sack it, baby!

      While the chosen one is doing the task - eating the baguette - like bread, remaining members must look for something that is "CakHulaI ng nGiFpinZ Ni ZiR Eltown Jhon" - a yellow straw. At ang Blue Team naubusan ba ng straw? hahaha

3rd stop - Murai Hut!! Challenge: "Blow me, Snow White." Green Team is the first team to arrived, ang bibilis! The challenge is to blow the flour inside a cup until the coin show up, but the real challenge is  the player must blow it using his nose! Madali ngang basahin yung instruction, pahirapan naman sa may sipon (nakabuga kaya? hmm..?)

Sarap!?

Hungry!? Better be! Because the next stop - "Duran...Duran" challenge at Kelichap Hut. Players must play the Pinoy classic "maiba taya" to know who will face the "Durian eating challenge" BOOM!! nasarapan daw sila?? While other members of the group must look for the hidden marbles & play "HIGOP MY BALLS." Using a straw in their mouth, they must transfer the given set of marbles to another container, higupin na! Nakakaubos hiningang challenge, ang hirap! Sumabay pa pati instruction..

 "Magtipon-tipon at maglaro ng "maiba taya" para knowsung kung siney ang maglalaro sa station na itey. Kailangang lafangin ng napiling utaw ang kung ano mang fudang na nasa kanyang frontlalu.  Habang ang isang utaw ay lumalapyok ng nahaing fudang, ang ibang mga utaw naman ay hahanapin ang isang tumpok ng jolen at maglalaro ng "HIGOP MY BALLS". Lahat ng kayo ay kailangang maglaro ng "HIGOP MY BALLS" maliban sa isang Lucky Manzano na patuloy na lumalapyok. Higupin ang mga jolens gamit ang straw at ilipat sa isang bote. Witchikengkers dapat matitirang jolen sa bowlalu bago tumuloy sa next station/challenge. Pagkatapos ipaalam na syopos na sa facilitator upang magetlak ang susunod na instruction."

Not yet full!? Good! coz' the 5th stop serves you the "Pekakak challenge", syempre sa Pekakak Hut. The objective of this game is to let the representative completely devour the served frog thoroughly. To successfully pass this challenge, he must show a bunch of clean frog bones.

After a froggy challenge, players must proceed to the next stop and along the way they must find "The Common Pulai (Alstonia Angustiloba)" - a Pulau Ubin Tree Trail, and take a wacky pose of the team.

After taking the wacky group photo, they must leave their bikes at Punai Hut and go straight to Chek Jawa visitor's centre for the next challenge - "Sipain kaya kita", another Filipino classic game called "Sipa." Clap clap to all players, they played well in this challenge, Pinoy nga sila hehehe

7th Stop: Chek Jawa Wetlands 
Challenge: "Okrayin Ang Bitter Challenge"

Final Stop: Beberek Hut at Jalan Mamam
The challenge is to transfer all the marbles with oil to the another given container using chopsticks! Yeah chopsticks! If the team done transferring all the marbles, they can now proceed to the 1st stop  where the first team to arrived will be announce as winner! Kaya karerahan na! Head to head ang labanan sa pagtransfer ng marble. Green Team is the first team to finish, kuha agad ng mga bike, panalo na sana kaso nak nang! sa iba lumiko, medalya na sana, nasilat pa! waaaaaaaah  The winning team..
